Light up & Shine: Community Christmas Lights Trail 2026
Bring some Christmas magic to Port Augusta! Registrations are now open for Light Up and Shine, our community Christmas Lights Trail, and we’re inviting residents and local businesses to get creative and light up the festive season.
Whether you go all out with a spectacular display or keep things simple with a few sparkling lights, every decorated home and business helps make Christmas brighter for our community.
How to get involved
Decorate your home or business with Christmas lights, festive decorations and a little Christmas cheer, then register to be included on the official Christmas Lights Trail.
When registering, you’ll need to provide details about your display. Just like previous years only your street address will be advertised on the Christmas Lights Trail so visitors can find and enjoy your display.
Registrations open on Monday 2nd November and close Monday 30 November 2026 at 5pm.
People's Choice Voting
Once the trail is underway, the community will have the chance to get involved by voting for their favourite Christmas lights display!
Take a drive around Port Augusta, enjoy the festive decorations and choose your favourite display.
Every vote is a chance to celebrate the creativity and effort of our local residents and businesses who help make the season special.

The Light Up and Shine Christmas Lights Trail will officially launch on Pageant Evening, Friday 4 December 2026, giving the community a chance to discover the displays and enjoy the magic of Christmas across Port Augusta.
