Strategic Plan

The Port Augusta City Council is developing its new Strategic Directions 2035 and Four Year Priority Action Plan 2024 - 2028. Councils are required to develop new strategic management plans within two years of a Local Government election.
The Strategic Directions is for a ten year period and sets Council’s aspirations, desired outcomes and the role of Council, whilst the Four Year Priority Action Plan 2024 - 2028 sets out the medium term actions we intend to undertake to build towards our longer term aspirations.
Council Elected Members have discussed their priorities and had the opportunity to consider a range of data and information about the City, and challenges and opportunities for the future. Council has also considered what people who live in or use the City have previously told them about what they value most and what they would like to see in the future.
It is now your opportunity to review and provide your feedback on Council’s Strategic Directions 2035 and Four Year Priority Action Plan 2024 - 2028 and the following pages detail how you can participate.
Submission forms will be available to provide comment on the strategic documents (online and hardcopy).
