Major renovation project for Gladstone Square’s historic rotunda

Port Augusta City Council is excited to announce the start of a major renovation project for the iconic Rotunda at Gladstone Square. This project reflects our commitment to protecting this important piece of history for future generations.

Important Renovation Details:

Painting Work:

The first phase of the renovation project, encompassing painting work, is scheduled to commence today, the 25th of September, and will proceed until the 29th of September, weather permitting. The restoration of the Rotunda's exterior not only promises to enhance its visual appeal but also provides essential protection against the elements.

Electrical Work:

In addition to the painting, crucial electrical work will be undertaken to guarantee the safety and functionality of the Rotunda, ensuring it remains a vibrant part of our community.

For everyone's safety, we kindly ask park users and visitors to avoid the Rotunda area during the renovation. We understand this may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to preserve this iconic landmark.

Once the renovation is complete, we'll reopen the Rotunda for everyone to enjoy.
