COVID-19 Support Centre – Press Road, concluding operations in early May 2022

Published 28th April 2022
Port Augusta City Council has been notified by SA Health that the Port Augusta Covid-19 Support Centre – Press Road, will be concluding their operations in early May.

“The South Australian regional accommodation program continues to evolve in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over the past few weeks, the requirement for regional COVID-19 accommodation support in Port Augusta, the Far North and Far West of the state has reduced, with low occupancy across all sites.

The Port Augusta (Press Road) and the Ceduna (Emu Farm) Regional COVID-19 Accommodation Support Centres will conclude their operations in early May, with last guests departing by 6 May.

SA Health will continue to work with the Local Health Networks, primary care providers and Aboriginal Health Services to support COVID-19 sustainability planning, and the management of positive people in the community.

As SA Health moves to a ‘Living with COVID’ response there will be a continued focus on protecting our most high risk and vulnerable community members.“
