Westside Jetty

The Future of the Westside Jetty – Have Your Say

Being part of a community means being part of important conversations.

In 2019, Port Augusta City Council made the decision to close the Westside Jetty as it was no longer safe for public access. Since then, the Council has explored several options to address the future of the Westside Jetty, each with its own financial impact.

Now, its future is a decision that belongs to all of us.

The future of the jetty is one of several discretionary projects the Council is considering as it prioritises available funding, and it is calling for community input to help guide this decision.

A community consultation period to assess how much the community values the Westside Jetty and options for its future, will be open from 17 April until 11 May 2025. You’re invited to participate to let the Council know what matters to you.

Council is keen to engage with the community to ensure that the Council is fully informed of the community’s position, wishes and willingness to fund significant repairs or replacement of the jetty. This is your opportunity to let us know what matters to you.

A community consultation period to assess the options will be open until 11 May 2025.
