Proposed changes to traffic conditions, Seaview Road

Port Augusta City Council is aware of community concerns regarding pedestrian safety and traffic congestion adjacent to Seaview Christian College on Seaview Road, particularly during school pick-up and drop-off times. To mitigate these concerns Council is proposing the following upgrades.

  • Installation of a School (Emu) Crossing located approximately 10m from the main access gate.
  • Restrict parking by installing a No Stopping Zone (between the hours of 8am to 9am and 2:30pm to 3:30pm) on the southern side of Seaview Road, between the entrances to the main carpark and the secondary carpark, and on the Northern side of Seaview Road adjacent the main carpark entrance.
  • Relocation of the bus stop on the Southern side of Seaveiw Road directly adjacent the bus stop on the Northern side of the road.

Traffic Surveys have been conducted within the area and a plan of the proposed upgrades are attached.

Council would like to invite you to provide your feedback in relation to this proposal prior to 5pm Monday 25th August 2025.
