Port Augusta Activity Centre Masterplan

Port Augusta CBD Draft Masterplan

The Port Augusta draft CBD Masterplan is a long-term plan to guide the future of the Port Augusta CBD over the next 20 years.

The masterplan looks at how the CBD can grow and improve by supporting local businesses, attracting new investment and making better use of streets, parks and public spaces. It aims to create a stronger shopping and business area with a more attractive and consistent look and feel, guided by the Port Augusta Style Guide.

This Masterplan will help shape our busy town centre, bringing together shops, services, jobs, education, recreation and community spaces.

The goal is to create a vibrant, welcoming and easy-to-get-around place for residents and visitors.

The masterplan focuses on:

  • Improving public spaces and open areas
  • Making streets safer and easier to use for walking, cycling and driving
  • Considering traffic flow and parking
  • Encouraging sustainable design, including green spaces and energy-efficient development
  • Unlocking the potential of key sites across the CBD

The Port Augusta Activity Centre Masterplan aligns with the Far North Regional Plan and supports Port Augusta’s role as the regional centre for our wider community.

We want your feedback.

Community input will help shape the final plan and ensure it reflects local needs, ideas and priorities. Please review the draft masterplan and share your thoughts.
