Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026–2030
The Port Augusta City Council is now seeking community feedback on the final draft of its Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2026–2030.
Earlier this year, Council invited input from the community to help shape the plan. That feedback has been used to develop a draft that is now open for final review.
Council supports the vision of the South Australian Disability Inclusion Plan 2025–2029—“A South Australia where no one is left behind”—and is committed to building an accessible, inclusive, and welcoming community for all.
As a key regional centre, Port Augusta plays an important role in supporting local and remote communities. This plan focuses on improving access, inclusion, services, facilities, and public spaces for people living with disability, older people, carers, families, and visitors.
Council is committed to improving accessibility, applying Universal Design principles, supporting meaningful participation, and working collaboratively with community and government partners to strengthen inclusion across the region.
We invite the community to review the draft plan and share any final feedback to help ensure it reflects the needs and priorities of our community.
The Draft Plan is open until 17 June 2026
