The Building Safer Spaces Project Grant provides funding to help local businesses improve the safety, security and appearance of their premises and shopfronts.
The program supports practical improvements that can help reduce the risk of crime, improve the experience of staff and customers, and contribute to a safer and more vibrant Port Augusta CBD.
What can funding be used for?
Funding may support eligible improvements such as:
- Shopfront and façade improvements
- Improved lighting and visibility
- Security measures and upgrades
- Improvements to entrances, windows and doors
Funding Details
- Up to $5,000 per business
- $1:$1 matched funding arrangement
- Total program pool: $80,000
- Reimbursement provided after approved works are completed and acquitted
- Funding will not be approved for any works that are completed prior to the approval of the Expression of Interest (EOI)
