Our departments and teams

The Port Augusta City Council’s mission is to create and sustain a safe and vibrant Community where people want to live, work, play and visit.

We do this through the rollout of new projects, initiatives and infrastructure, with the wellbeing of the community at the forefront of our decision making.

Our Management Team, which includes our CEO and three Directors, is responsible for leading and developing a diverse of range of teams, functions and services which enable the successful delivery of the Port Augusta City Council Strategic Plan.

City Services is made up of Work Health & Safety, Strategy and People, Community Development, Community Harmony Programs, Contracts, Information Technology, Library and Records Management.

The Corporate and Community Services directorate is made up of the externally facing programs Tourism, Sporting and Recreation, Childcare, Health Focus and Men’s Shed, Customer Service, and internally facing departments Finance and Rates.

The Infrastructure directorate is made up of Planning, Building and Development, Cemeteries and Airport, Parks & Gardens, Works Depot and Environmental Health departments.
