Parks and Gardens

Council is committed to providing an attractive and functional landscape throughout the city for visitors, residents and businesses. Our Parks and Gardens Section is working to achieve this through:

• the provision, development and maintenance of a network of public open space
• landscaping and developing reserves to provide opportunities for active and passive recreation
• greening, incorporation researching, planting and maintaining appropriate tree species
• maintenance of reserves and landscaped areas
• maintaining and restoring local biodiversity
