About the swim centre
The Port Augusta Swimming Pool has been renamed the Ryan Mitchell Swim Centre in recognition of Port Augusta's first Olympic swimming representative.
Ryan began his swimming career with the Port Augusta Swimming Club. He went on to represent Australia in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, and won silver in the 4x100m medley relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Pool times
Monday – Friday: 6:00am – 7:00pm*
Saturday – Sunday: 10:00am – 7:00pm*
Public Holidays: 10:00am – 7:00pm*
Lap Swimming: 6:00am – 9:00am
Swimming Club have 2-3 lanes closed off during training times
* open till 9.00 PM if temperature over 30°C
