Councils are required under legislation (Work Health and Safety Act 2012) to have in place a “Preferred Contractors Register”. This register will contain relevant information in regards to contractors’ compliance with the Act, eg: Public Liability, Workcover Insurance etc.
All contractors who wish to perform work for the Port Augusta City Council must supply Council with up to date evidence that they are compliant with the Act.
Contractors details will be kept on a database and monitored for compliance.
The attached form requires completion, along with a hard copy or electronic copy of your company’s compliance information.
